Nature and Landscape Photography class

This 3-hour class is intended for beginner and intermediate photographers. By the end of this session you will have a good understanding of how cameras and lenses work, how to yield better results by implementing some basic techniques, and a knowledge base for understanding what works better and why.

This is also a preparation for the weekend photography workshops.

The topics covered in the class are:
- Photographic gear, digital and film cameras, and how they work
- Lenses and the basic physics of optics
- Light - when to shoot and how to make the most of your day
- Essential accessories: filters, flash, tripods, etc.
- Photographic techniques, composition and rules of thumb
- Night photography and astrophotography
- Basic photoshop tips

Bring your camera and tripod, a note pad and any work you would like to share or have questions about.

Weekend Photography Workshops

camping + nature + photography = much fun!

These excursions are intended for beginner/intermediate level photographers and focus on implementing the toppics discussed in the 3 hour classes. On these 2-3 day trips we will travel to some of the beautiful locations in the area ( White Sands, Bisti Badlands, Colorado Rockies, Great Sand Dunes and the Moab area ). I will be giving hands on assistance on techniques, composition, light, night photography and any other areas desired by you. A list of essential Photographic and camping gear will be sent out to participants prior to the trip.

Registration deadline is three days before the trip so please contact me early. Group size is limited to 8 photographers.

The cost for two day workshops is $120
